Business Process Automation (BPA) is a process of managing information, data and processes to reduce costs, resources and investment. BPA increases productivity by automating key business processes through computing technology. The BPA process is geared toward implementing software applications to automate routine business tasks through initiation, execution and completion, while achieving enterprise-wide workflow efficiency. An Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is often conceived as a BPA implementation outcome.
We initiate the process by meeting with all relevant stakeholders, teams and personnel – the people who actually perform the tasks and their managers,. This provides domain expertise to our software engineers and analysts. The result is a creation of workflows, diagrams, process optimizations that are discussed and confirmed by the client. There are always many approaches to solve an automation problem and the one we select should comfort with the existing client environment and not the other way around.
The result of BPA integration is planned and explained with initial set of metrics, such as possible cost savings, added production and service values, speed, limited or no human errors and interaction, and many more. Once the analysis is completed, we implement the solution, integrate it, educate the personnel and support & maintain. The metrics already discussed are now closely monitored to follow the BPA integration and to adjust certain components, if necessary.
